west covina wins big 49-0 over Bellflower in CIF playoffs round one

No I didn’t cover this game for the Trib, but you can find a good wrap up of tonight’s action here by one of my fellow correspondents. I had the night off, but still decided to dust off the old SLR camera and venture into West Covina to watch the ‘dogs play the Bellflower Buccaneers. What better way to take advantage of my CIF press pass than to practice my photographic skills while enjoying first round playoff action.

I expected the Bulldogs to be tough, but it wasn’t a good game at all. It was total domination from start to finish. 35-0 by halftime? Well is Bellflower this bad? Or is West Covina just that much better? Time will tell as the ‘dogs now host a second round game against Santa Fe next week.

I don’t know how much longer I will be updating this blog, as I begin work with a hyperlocal media outlet next week, more on that later, but for now enjoy these images from tonight’s contest such as it was.
